Things to do before I die!

Hey!
So, I saw an idea for a teen bucket list on Literally My Life, so shoutout to you! I decided to make this a bit longer by extending the time I have to do these things!
Here is my bucket list for things to do before I die!

Ride a horse on the beach
Go on an African safari
Go to a Masquerade ball
Bake a perfect rainbow cake
Create an ice cream flavor
Eat a soft pretzel
Explore a shipwreck
Go to the top of the Eiffel Tower
Ride a tiger
Cuddle a baby tiger
Go on a hot air balloon ride
Go dogsledding
Swim with dolphins
Send a message in a bottle
Go skiing
Meet my fave author, R.J. Palacio

By the way, my favourite book is The Jungle Book, but the author of that book is dead.

My party!

Hello!
Let me tell you all about my party!
I got these things from my friends and family - I have no idea where the gifts were bought though!

Some awesome butterfly wall stickers!
A cushion with a white tiger!
A bath bomb factory!
A fast food make up bag!
A toast sponge with jam coloured body wash!
A bubblegum scented candle!
Some edible eyes for fun decoration on food!
A Jammie Dodger cushion!
A doodle pillowcase!
A Tetris light!
A gold watch!

So at my party, we had Butterbeer and liquorice wands and acid cake pops, with other snacks too. We all got sorted (I was Hufflepuff) then we took photos and watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Everyone loved their house scarves and their slice of wizard hat cake!

I'd say this party was a success!

DIYs... again!

Hiya!
It's time for more DIYs!

Doodle Shoes:
Use Sharpies to doodle on any plain shoes! Easy!

Toilet Paper Roll Wall Art:
Flatten a toilet paper roll. Cut strips off the end. Open them up, then you can pin or glue them together in any shape (I like it in the shape of a flower) and then you can hang them up on your wall!

Flower Push Pins
Start by cutting away silk flowers from the stems and then removing the center from the flower, reserving for later. Now press the flower over a clear push pin so the top pops out. Use a bit of hot glue or normal liquid glue to hold the flower in place. Top with the center that you removed from the silk flower with a dab of glue and your flower push pin is finished! Continue making flower push pins until you have a beautiful bunch and then use on a cork/bulletin board!

It's My Birthday Tomorrow!

Hey!
It's my birthday tomorrow! Yes!

So, I'm having a Harry Potter party!
My dad's decorating our dining room ceiling with stars, and Mum's sewing house scarves for everyone. We have an old hat for the Sorting Hat - my mum's making it speak!

Here are some things that we made for my party!

Wanted Photo Booth

Use a big piece of paper/card/foam and cut a hole in the middle, leaving space at the top. Write at the top 'Have You Seen This Wizard?' or 'Wanted'. Now you and your friends can stand in the frame and take pics!

Butterbeer

Pour caramel syrup into your cup until it forms a thin layer of the sauce on the bottom. Open a can of cream soda, and pour it into the cup slowly. If the cup fills up, wait for the fizz to go down. Then, continue to pour. When you're done, mix up the brew. So yummy!

 It's going to be awesome!

Home Haul

Hi! So, I bought some new stuff from Polyvore, and here is the stuff that I bought!

Why do people always ask: 'Have you been there?' 'Have you done that?'
Yes I have.

I love these carpets so much! That's why I got one!
This is for my awesome study!

So, me and my sister are having our rooms redone, and I decided to go with a blue, floral and white theme. I bought the above duvet cover, and my room has a white wooden floor.

Good saying up there, people.

Yes.

OMG THIS MIRROR!

You see, I love flowers, but they always die. Artificial flowers to the rescue!

What? I love throw pillows, that's all!

I keep all my jewellry in this box, and you have no idea how much jewellry I have!

This floor lamp is AWESOME!

Awesomeness is all throughout this post.

Chocolate Marble Cake!

Hi!

Today, I'm showing you how to make a delicious chocolate marble cake!

Ingredients

225g butter, softened
225g caster sugar
4 eggs
225g self-raising flour
3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp cocoa powder

Method

1. Heat oven to 180C/gas 160C/gas 4. Grease a 20cm cake tin and line the bottom with a circle of greaseproof paper.
2.If you want to make life easy, simply put all the ingredients (except the cocoa powder) into a food processor and whizz for 1-2 mins until smooth. If you prefer to mix by hand, beat the butter and sugar together, then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Fold through the flour, milk and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
3.Divide the mixture between 2 bowls. Stir the cocoa powder into the mixture in one of the bowls. 4.Take 2 spoons and use them to dollop the chocolate and vanilla cake mixes into the tin alternately. 5.When all the mixture has been used up (and if young kids are doing this, you’ll need to ensure the base of the tin is fairly evenly covered), tap the bottom on your work surface to ensure that there aren’t any air bubbles. Take a skewer and swirl it around the mixture in the tin a few times to create a marbled effect.
6.Bake the cake for 45-55 mins until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Turn out onto a cooling rack and leave to cool. It will keep for 3 days in an airtight container or freeze for up to 3 months.

It takes some time, but it's worth it!

It should look something like this:

YUM!

Yoga!

Hey!

Today me and Saffron hung out after school, and we did yoga. It really helps us relax because we've both got exams tomorrow. I'm doing a piano exam, and Saffron's doing a dance test.

Here are some of the poses that we did and how to do them!

Boat Pose
Sit on your yoga mat with your legs straight out in front of you.

Flex your feet back towards your body and sit up straight.

Lean your body back and bend your knees, lifting your legs off the floor.

Lean back further until your shins are parallel to the floor. Grasp your thighs with your hands and draw in your lower back.

Release your thighs and stretch your arms to the front, with your palms facing towards the body.
Remain in this position for about 5-10 breaths.

Slowly, with control, straighten your legs and bring your palms up to rest behind your head. Your feet should be higher than your head. Hold the pose for 5 to 10 breaths, then slowly release.

Wheel Pose
Lie down on the ground comfortably. Bend your knees.

Place your hands behind your head. Do it in such a way that your palms are a bit above your ears. There should be a little gap between your head and palms. It should not be very close. The shape of your hands should be a bit like inverted 'U' and fingers pointing towards the feet.

Now that you are in this position, lift your lower body with the help of your legs and then your upper body with the help of your hands.

Push your body up until you have acquired the wheel. Hold pose for few seconds.

Release the pose gently and slowly.

Tree Pose
Stand tall and straight with arms by the side of your body.

Bend your right knee and place the right foot high up on your left thigh. The sole of the foot should be placed flat and firmly near the root of the thigh.

Make sure that your left leg is straight. Find your balance.

Once you are well balanced, take a deep breath in, gracefully raise your arms over your head from the side, and bring your palms together in a hands-folded position.

Look straight ahead in front of you, at a distant object. A steady gaze helps maintain a steady balance.

Ensure that your spine is straight. Your entire body should be taut, like a stretched elastic band. Keep taking in long deep breaths. With each exhalation, relax the body more and more. Just be with the body and the breath with a gentle smile on your face.

With slow exhalation, gently bring down your hands from the sides. You may gently release the right leg.

Stand tall and straight as you did at the beginning of the posture. Repeat this pose with the left leg off the ground on the right thigh.

Those are some yoga poses!
What they should look like:

Boat Pose:

  • Wheel Pose:
  • Tree Pose:
  • They relax you and help to relieve stress.

I already posted twice today. But then I got a request, which I really wanted to do.
Today, I'm posting a clothes haul, suggested by Curly Crazy.

The perfect beach outfit... and snack!

      Good night.

Those are all the outfits I'm going to show you today!
Do you want more of these? Do you want ones for different items, e.g. home decor, make-up?

The Easiest Chocolate Fudge Recipe Ever!

Yeah, I already posted today. But then I found this recipe.

I love fudge. Chocolate fudge is my second favourite, after an amazing caramel peanut fudge that I tried. In an upcoming post, I'll show you how to make the caramel peanut fudge.

But today, we have the chocolate fudge.

      Ingredients

397g tin of sweetened condensed milk
      500g milk chocolate

      Method

1.Place the condensed milk and broken-up chocolate into a pan.
2.Melt everything together on medium heat with constant stirring until smooth.
3.Pour into lined tin or tray. This recipe makes enough for a 20 x 20 x 3cm slab.
4.This takes a good couple of hours to cool properly in the fridge (obviously it takes longer if not in the fridge).
      5. After about 2 hours, you can chop the fudge into whatever shape you like. You can even use cookie cutters!
      6. It's time to enjoy your delicious, home-made chocolate fudge!

I have a Pinterest account if you want to check that out - the name's savannahroar.

      Method:

1.Set aside 50g each of the peanut butter and chocolate. Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and line a 20cm square baking tin with baking parchment.
2.Gently melt remaining peanut butter, chocolate and all the sugar in a pan, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has just about melted.
3.Turn off heat and use a wooden spoon to beat in the eggs one by one.
4.Stir in the flour and scrape into the tin.
5.Melt reserved peanut butter in the microwave on High for 45 secs, or in a pan, until runny, then drizzle over the brownie.
6.Bake for 30-35 mins until it has a crust, but the middle still seems slightly uncooked.
7.Melt reserved chocolate, drizzle over the brownie, then cool in the tin before cutting into squares.

This is an idea of what they should look like:

      Yummy!

      A Cool DIY Birthday Gift!

      Hello!
Stuck on a birthday gift and you don't have time to buy a cool present? I got you covered!
A DIY 'reasons I love you' birthday jar!

      You will need:
      Any clean jar
      Pens
      Patterned and plain paper
      Ribbon/twine
      Hole punch

      Method:

      1. Cut up your plain paper into little slips.
      2. Write down something you love about the person on a slip.
      3. Carry on doing number 2 for one slip each year of the person's age on their birthday. For example, if the person is turning 21, you will complete 21 slips of paper.
      4. Roll up the paper slips, tie them up like scrolls with the ribbon/twine and put them all into the jar.
      5. Cut your patterned paper into whatever shape you like.
      6. Hole punch your paper at the top.
      7. Write '(insert birthday age here) Reasons I Love You'.
      8. Tie your twine or ribbon around the top of the jar and through the home-made tag (you can use a real gift tag if you want).
      9. Give it to the birthday person and watch them open it and love it!!!!!!!!

It's an awesome DIY for an awesome person. I gave this to my best friend Saffron and she loved it!
